The GEMshield is a compact lightweight personal safety device incorporating the latest GPS and GPRS technologies. The GEMshield is designed to protect your lone workers, vulnerable individuals and people at risk, by giving a quick and effective means of calling for help in critical situations anytime, anywhere. It uses the Atheros GPS chipset to provide and high degree of location accuracy and has an optimised battery which enables up to 100 hours standby time. The GEMshield provides fast alarm transmission with SMS backup and has a voice memo feature to allow additional information to be given to the emergency controller. Its 2 way audio feature allows for clear communication and is sensitive up to 2 meters away.
